unknown Kawasaki Model

Hey, I have an old Kawasaki that I have been trying to figure out what model it is. The label on the front has a "74" on it, so I assume that is the year. The VIN is also on the label and stamped on the frame.

It is MC-025411. Anyone know what it is? There are no turn signals/lights on it, and it is not very big. I could send a picture to anyone who thinks they may be able to tell by looking at it.

By chance is it green? My first bike was a 1974 or 1975 MC1M 90. It was green, had number plates and was Kawasaki's first kids dirt bike that looked like a real dirt bike...like those the big teenagers had! I would love to see a picture as well.

Hi 78kz650,

I too would agree with poolmanj and tommy69bird it does sound like a Kawasaki MC-1.
Kawasaki manufactured them up until around 1975 it was the replaced in 1976 by another 90cc mini trials bike the KM90.
Then around 1978 up until 1981 they produced the Kawasaki KM100 which was basically a 100cc version of the KM90.

I've attached a photo of an MC-1, not the greatest example but its the only one I could find.

It's a 1975 MC1B. Should be candy red or candy ocean blue.

Welcome to the forum...That is a cool vintage bike.... I have been up on EBay lookin and drooling at Kawi's and my other love BMW's. There was this sweet 1962 BMW..starting bid 15,000..too rich for my blood, but still nice to look at.

there you can identify several kaw models through your frame and engine numbers, its broken down by year and cc. There I was abel to identify mine. hope this helps.

Its a 1974 KX 250. The 74 model started with engine # K2E 900001 through K2E 903675. Frame # from K2 900001 through K2 903597.
