Default Oil leaking all over the heads

2 questions, my KZ1100 is leaking from the heads, badly...like I cant wear any decent pants. So, one of the issues is stripped bolts one on the valve cover, at least on on the head...one of the smaller ones... Any one had any experience with retapping heads??

Question 2. I replaced the stator last year and it didnt have a gromet. Turns out you cant replacement ones from Kawa, because they were part of the stator... anyone know of any aftermarket sources? or any way to homemake one? Its a big hole to fill and my toes are getting oilly, it also leaves quite a puddle if I dont put it on the center stand!

    Thanks!

Timeserts or heli-coils for the stripped threads. Try Jeff Saunders at Z1 Enterprises for a grommet fix.

wait, are the bolt heads stripped or are the bolt holes stripped? if the heads are stripped go get a set of easy outs (or whatever they're called) from craftsman, they'll come out no problem. As far as grommets go, if its a round one you can pick up generic grommets in a variety of sizes at a hardware store. If it's an odd shape you may be able to use a silicone based sealant with a hardener to close the hole off.
