Default Pics of my custom created solo seat (KZ550)

Right now, it's wrapped in black duct tape so I have some type of smooth shell to apply the fiberglass resin to (I plan to rough up the surface of the tape before applying the resin). The rear section was cut down with my sawzall and then I applied expanding spray foam to the seat. After allowing that to cure 100% for two days, I cut down the extra with my sawzall yet again. Then once I got to a rough shape, I used a body file (aka: cheese grater) to take it down the the final shape I wanted.

Over the winter I will have the reamaing seat foam cut away & install a metal pan that will go across the flat section and then curve up to the back. This will allow for a place to install a removeable bottom pan. The back piece will just snap into place with m-to-f connectors.

Next on the mods list will be rear peg accessable custom levers for the shifter and rear brake and mini Cafe racer headlight fairing.

I like it. The second shot looks like a Ninja tail a little bit. Keep us updated.

Thanks for the kind words guys! I went on a Toys For Tots ride today & got a lot of complements on it. It really changes the look of the bike. I'm thinking of turning the handle bars down in true Clubman fashion once I get my Cafe fairing.
I will get some better pics when I get my camera back from repair.

I like it. I want to do something similar to mine, having the back portion color matched to my tail piece.

That looks pretty good on that bike.

Are you going to try to incorporate some kind of storage compartment into the tail, or leave it solid?

I'm looking forward to seeing the final result, even though we can get a good idea of the final look from what you've already done.

No compartment, just a solid rear for styling.

Thanks very much for all the complements from everyone. It makes me feel like all the work so far has not being for nothing.

You have more fab in that bike than an entire Harley Owners Group chapter.

Thanks. I like that quote for sure!! I just recently turned the around the Clubman bars and turned them down for the true sport riding effect.

Next is the mini Cafe fairing very soon to finish off the look.
