Whitehouse Racing version 1.0. This was me and Cooter winning the 1989 Canadian Dragbike Championship in Shannonville. With added 29 mm smoothbores, a Hindle side winder pipe and stage 1 head work this bike eventually ran 11.04@122mph. Not bad for a stock pistoned KZ1000.
Bike is currently is a work in progress as the new motor is a 1075 12:1 cr with 380 lift cams. A 750 triple swingarm will give it 3"over and a KZ400 frontend will reduce weight and supply an 18" front wheel. Brakes, front and rear, will be off an older 750 Ninja. I have a buddy with a garage full of machining equipment. He has the lathe, and milling machine, I have the TIG welder and plasma cutter. Currently trying to learn how to TIG weld aluminium. Not doing well at all. Would like to make a custom aluminium gastank. Pics can be seen at "My Garage" in main lobby. Suffered heart attack and under went quad bypass surgery this spring so put a dampener in my working in garage. Could not lift anything for 2 months. Much better. Practically a non event now. Had to make some lifestyle changes. No smoking cigarettes, no junk food, no eating at local pub twice a day. Put GPZ away for a while and went back to riding bicycle every where. I don't own a car, hate the smelly expensive things. Always been a two wheeled sorta guy. Motorcycle in summer and bicycle in winter. Got lazy for a few years and cabbed it during winter. Silly me. With my family history I need to stay on bicycle year round. Only rode GPZ 4 times last year as I rehabbed back to health.
Ran out of money for racing back in 93. Bought a house 3 years ago with a garage so bike came out of storage. Was hoping to be racing summer of 07. Am going to lose job in 08 when plant closes and go on to university. Need to get cracking but my GPZ needs 1500$ of cams and rockers first I think. Money, health, work or time. It's always something. |

It's a Rickman fairing. He's one of the lucky few to have one on their bikes. Always a pleasure to look at Rob!!

Here's my 79 KZ650C3. This is the best shot I have now with the NOS seat I just picked up. All stock except for halogen light and up graded ignition with a DynaTek and super coils. It's just a nice rider, nothing fancy. It averages 1,000 miles a month and I hope to ride to work tomorrow.

My stable currently houses a '78 KZ650B2 ![]() and an '84 ZN700 LTD, which basically looks like a 750 Vulcan with an inline-4 KZ engine in it. ![]() Last edited by RetroRiceRocket : 01-23-2007 at 09:15 PM. Reason: To include pics of bikes |
