As I was looking around the website for Redline Cycle, I decided to paste a link that will take you directly to some of the nicest restoration photos you'll see.
This guy Jim does some amazing work, albeit a little pricey, but a great way to get a new and improved bike from a past era. Check this out: Blank Page click on 'blank page',,,,it will take you there. Last edited by spyman : 01-28-2008 at 08:18 PM. Reason: url is corrupted due to smiley faces |

The folks at Redline do some nice work for sure. I'm just glad it is you writing the check and not me. I know how long restoration work can take and those labor dollars add up real fast.

First thing that entered my mind when I saw the pics was "Damn that is going to be so nic.........." and before I could finish that thought it was replaced by "Damn that is going to cost more than my bike did new".
It really will be nice though and I'm sure you will love it. I hope to be able to get my frame powder coated and some some major polishing before spring but right now it's not looking good. Just too much going on for me to get to it right now. |

Yeah Stargate, its not going to be inexpensive for sure, but I plan on keeping this bike and I'm sure it will increase in value. This vintage of bike completely restored will sell for $15++ and will continue to appreciate as time goes on. I am looking at it as a long term investment.
It will be cool to have a 1977 vintage bike as new. Thats a new and improved 31 year old KZ1000A! |

I really love the new stuff.....all the gadgets and bells and whistles... but, after looking at your bike....I am thinking of getting the honda 750 outta the shed and looking at bringing her back to par....(she's been resting for 10yrs).... she was a good one in her day....till a new girl a GW came along and tookover the #1 spot

Looks like an old school GSX-R rear swing arm to me. I could be wrong though. I've been thinking about one of them too... Of course I just purchased Progress dual rear shocks & springs, so switching to a mono setup would defeat my purchase.
