Default '74 F11-A, need shift mechanism spring and seals?

I have a '74 Kawasaki F11-A. A while back I posted about it going bang after my first ride into the woods... Rode for about 2 hours between gettingto the woods, riding thorugh the woods, and getting almost back. Turns out the engine seized up due to igesting a 10mm hex nut and subesequent explosion of the piston.

Anyhow, I bought another bottom end off eBay and it seems pretty decent. The crank end seals do't look exactly pristine, but I've seen worse hold a seal. Can't find a source for new seals (can they be replaced without splitting the case?), so I'm just gonna put all my other stuff from the old engine on it along with a hone and new piston and rings. I'd prefer to do at least the crank end seals because I have't had the best of luck in the past with 30+ year old rubber parts. Not much option at the moment though, as the F11 doesn't have the aftermarket support that my Elsinore seems to have.

Also, when I pulled the right side cover off my old engine to scavenge the parts I found there was no spring on the shift mechanism from the part that pivots below the drum to the long lever/arm above the drum. Both parts have a small hole that looks like it would afford a spring to put some tension to hold the upper arm snug against the drum to prevent missed shifts. I never missed a shift or had any trouble shifting the old engine, s I'm just reassembling (since a brief search for said spring returned no results). I guess it'll be alright? I'd like to do this bike nice since it's in decent condition, pretty much complete, and I have the title. Parts availability seems to be troublesome though! What do you guys do for parts? Does anyone have the parts that I need? Shift mecanism spring and crank seals? Maybe entire bearing set?

I've almost got the engine back together now so I'm gonna finish asmuch as I ca tonight and since most places will be closed tomorrow and I need two screws to finish (that aren't in my random nut/bolt assortment) I'll get those Monday and hopefully fire it up. Maybe I'll get lucky and won't have a vacuum/oil leak through teh crank end seals. Not holding my breath though.

There is a spring on the shift mechanism, as shown in the attached parts diagram. Seals are available through Ebay, you may have to be patient to get both sides.

Do you have a part number for the spring? Any hope of finding one or should I improvise? Only hope of finding seals is to find NOS seals, no one makes new? If so I guess I'll just do as you say. Since it's almost together I'll see how it runs and keep my eyes on eBay.

Part numbers are as follows:

Spring 92081-101
Seal Left side 653B254007 (Also known as TB25407)
Bearing Left Side 601B6305 (Also Known as ball #6305)
Seal Right Side 653B385008 (Also known as TB38508 )
Bearing Right Side 92045-016

The alternate numbers listed may help locate the seals and bearings from a bearing supply shop. The right side bearing needs to be the genuine Kawasaki article as it has a special groove in it, which is why there is no alternative identifier number supplied in the parts book.

It is possible to get that groove made in a standard bearing at a machine shop. My buddy had a couple done for his F5's.

Probably, using an old bearing as a guide.
