    Default Fuel line problems?

Ok, so today I tried to change my fuel filter. I got one thats universal but that fits with no clearance issues. I also got all new 1/4" fuel line to go ahead and replace that.

Well I got everything off and put the new lines and filter in place. Cinched it all down good and tight, and low and behold I had a fuel leak. I found that the leak was coming from a screwed up clamp that pinched the line above the splitter at the carbs. Well I pulled it back off and changed the line from the filter to the carb and put on another clamp and made sure that everything was good and tight and nothing was pinched or kinked. Now, I still have a fuel leak.

It leaks when I turn the petcock on. But there dont seem to be much fuel in the filter. What could be causing this?

Its an 82, and the leak is coming from right around the "T" joint that splits the fuel line into both carbs.

Any chance you cracked the plastic "T"? If no possibly the "O" rings between the movable and non-movable parts of the line are shot and need replaced.

Ok. Update time. I found that the o-rings were shot. I ended up putting some soapy water down beside the t-fitting and then blowing air into the fitting and saw that it was leaking equally from both sides. So I got some gasket dressing and a tube of gasket maker. I put the dressing on first since it wasnt soluble with gas, then I put the gasket maker on top of that and it sealed it up perfectly. So now my baby is back on the road.

But I thought I would give the update. and my drag bars are ordered and on there way here. They should be here in a few days. So I'll post some new pics once those are on and everything is finished.
