1984 ZX900 Ninja Help

I was wondering what the problem could be with my engine. Its smoking out the exhaust but it is not starting. And if possible i really need help on how to run the vacuum lines the the carbs and the tank.

Sounds flooded to me....Check plugs and make sure you have a spark first .

color of smoke? is it starting at all? like spttering and smoking?

the smoke is gray. but its not actually starting but it doesn't seem to be sputtering

sounds like unburnt gas, remove the far left plug rest it against the block with the wire still attached, AWAY from the spark plug hole and turn the bike over and watch for a spark.
