Default KZ1000B1 (LTD) rear wheel on KZ1000A1

The rear wheel on my 1977 KZ1000A1 has gotten some water inside the rim and it's pretty rusty. It looks OK on the outside but when I went to put on a new tire the insides a mess. I have a rear wheel from a KZ1000B1 (the cast aluminum LTD model) thats is good shape and it looks like to may fit. Before I spend the time and money to get new bearing and seals I was curious if anyone has successfully mounted the 16" LTD cast wheel in place of the spoked wheel. FWIW, I had a 16" rim laced onto the rear hub when I got the bike so at least I know a 560x16 tire fits OK.

I am no expert but, I purchased a 1977 KZ1000A1 from someone who had aluminum mags on it. I replaced both mags w/ spokes. The bike never originally came w/ mags so from my point of view you can. I will look at the mags tomorrow because I still have them and measure them up. I am on the comp all the time so I will follow up on this and let you know
