1981 AR80 parts interchange

I have an AR80 project that has been making very slow progress for the past year.

I was wondering if anyone knew what engines shared internal components with the AR. I know that the aircooled KX80's up to 1982 and some of the KDX80's have what appears to be the same engine cases as the AR. Any help would be appreciated. Engines are pretty scarce on eBay and craigslist.

I bought a 93cc top end on eBay and looking forward to some serious speed.

Go to Kawasaki.com > owner info > parts digram and use the parts cross ref.

Look on ebay UK for spares. They sold lots of them over there. The AR50 has about the same engine, and I think a KX60 gearbox will drop right in. Also check out BDK Racing in the UK. They do adjustable iggys for them. A friend of mine has an AR50 with a professionally ported (by Ebos in Sweden) barrel, BDK iggy ++ with 25 HP.

Hi Mike (and anyone),
I'm having a hard time finding nice tires for an AR 80. You've got a slick on the rear - any chance you can give me the info off of it so I can find one? Or better yet, anyone got a lead on good sticky street tires for that 18x1.40 rim?
