I posted a while back about a Bighorn 350 I was looking at. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and have been waiting to post more until the owner located the title. I got the title yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Along with the original, one owner title dated 9-10-1970, I received the original owner's manual in mint condition, as well as, the the original warranty and service record cards. It starts and runs good and has been performance tuned with an aftermarket expansion chamber that is LOUD.
But, with all good there is also some bad. The throttle mount on the handle bars has had the elevated portions for the throttle and start cables broken off, the entire tail light assembly is missing, and everything for the front brakes from the hub up is missing (brake arm, cable, lever and mount). I can buy cables and levers but even ebay has been no help in finding the mount for the handle bars and the lower arm that attaches to the hub. The clutch is slipping a little and it is hard to up shift into 3 or 4. It will go, but it usually takes a couple of tries. It's like the lever just will not move and than suddenly it just decides to go. Down shifts are light and easy. I'm waiting til I get a manual for it to really start tinkering but it has been a lot of fun so far and has had me as excited as any project bike I've had to date.
