Hey everyone, got a tech question again. I have a 79 KZ750 B4. I have become aware that alot of parts are 100% interchangeable between several models/years. I would like to know which cosmetic parts are interchangeable, specifically the rims and seats.

Try at www.kawasaki.com I understand it might be a bit of a search but the info is there.

tough call there: most of the changes were cosmetic, and required changes to the frame to do them. I have 7 different models in my bike mechanically, all of the way up to 07-ish.
On the other hand, there are many who have updated their wheels and suspension to very modern parts. It took fabrication, but not as much as you might think. Tanks I would think are very interchangeable, most mount the same way. Side panels and tails though, they can differ from year to year. Wheels? I'd say up to '85, although I am betting that the ZR-7 wheels would work on my GPZ. Spokes to mags or back would not be hard within the guidelines of drivetrain and diameter. |

Hi, not sure if you want only the rim or the entire wheel assembly. I have a parts program and this is what it says (I would verify the information by checking parts schematics) for the entire wheel assembly and seat assembly.
Part # = 41074-047 Part Description = WHEEL ASSEMBLY,FRONT Model Count = 13 KH500-A8 76 500 KH500 STREET KZ900-C2 76 900 900 POLICE POLICE KZ900-A4 76 900 KZ900 SPORTBIKE KZ750-B1 76 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET KZ900-A5 77 900 KZ900 STREET KZ750-B2 77 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET KZ1000-A1 77 1000 KZ1000 STREET KZ650-B1 77 650 KZ650 STREET KZ650-B2 78 650 KZ650 STREET KZ750-B3 78 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET KZ650-B2A 78 650 KZ650 STREET KZ750-B4 79 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET KZ650-B3 79 650 KZ650 STREET Part # = 42048-035 Part Description = WHEEL ASSEMBLY,REAR Model Count = 4 KZ750-B1 76 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET KZ750-B2 77 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET KZ750-B3 78 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET KZ750-B4 79 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET Part # = 53001-114 Part Description = SEAT ASSEMBLY,DUAL Model Count = 4 KZ750-B1 76 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET KZ750-B2 77 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET KZ750-B3 78 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET KZ750-B4 79 750 750 LTD TWIN LTD STREET If you get me a part # I can see what the program says but, I'm not vouching for the information, like I said I always double check. So far it's been right for me. Hope this helps. |
