I know how ya feel though. i waited 6 long years to get a bike, and now i get one, but its a 900 and im a pretty small dude. im pretty scared of the thing and worried about dropping it my self lol.

So just taking it easy and things are working out just fine!

Well congrats!! And as everyone else will probably tell you, if you don't want to drop your bike, take the MSF course ASAP. You won't regret it. I learned so much and it will make you feel more comfortable. Good luck.

Congrats. Nice looking ride. And, just because you take the class does not mean you won't drop it. Sh!t happens. And, Subarus, I am only 5'6" and ride a 900. No problemo.

Nice bike!!! Thanks for the pics. Ride as much as you can. And take it to a parking lot every so often to keep up those slow skills!

From the looks of it, I'd say you stole it. Looks brand new. The color is just bound to get you noticed. Take the MSF course and practice, practice, practice.
Good luck to you and ride safe.

not saying there is any problem. just saying its a big bike for a 130 pound rider like my self. I can ride it with no problem. But im still a little nervous about dumping it over someday lol. its a tad bit heavy for me sometimes.

Thanks every one, Yeah I got lucky on this bike big time. now I'm saving up for the MSF and gear/license plate so I can take it out on the road... Also going to get them things for the bike that if you drop it, it protects the plastic and bike.. Tomorrow I think I'll go up and down are road.

I'm only like 5'6 145pounds and this bike fits me great. Not real heavy ether I can left it up and move it.

frame sliders are not going to protect your plastic. Thats not what they are designed for. sometimes you'll get lucky and they might save your plastic from a kickstand tip over.

Other wise frame sliders are about 50/50 wether they help or not. Depends what brand you buy, how they are installed, which bike they are going on, and the just the way the wreck happened.

Personally thats 100+ bucks i wouldnt waste. The 125 it cost for the MSF is a far better 100 bucks well spent that frame sliders ever will be. Last thing i would buy on your list.

ouch! lol only 125 here!

still dont waste 100 bucks on frame sliders when the MSF is a way better 100 bucks well spent.

I read that you are a dirt rider, Yes? If you have been doing that for a long while, you should be good. I would also suggest the MFS but dirt riding can give you a knowledge that a straight street rider might not know. How do I know you may ask??? Wellll I started out on the street after the MFS and last year got a dirt bike. I have a much better understanding of my limitations than I did having only street experience. You can slide around on the dirt and do things you really should not do on a street bike, BUT if your street bike gets squirrely you can usually get it under control if you have some dirt experience.

Just my opinion you understand.....

Nice ride by the way

Yeah been riding on my 150 dirt bike for about a year. never wrecked or dropped it tell yesterday -_-' I turned to sharp and gave it to much gas.. I wanted the back end to slide out, kinda like a small drift. But instead the the hole bike slide lol I was like "WTF that's a first". But shows anything can happen.

Also the bike is crap. the bikes back tire will randomly lock up for a few seconds. so you kinda have to be prepared for that at all times lol

I just got back from riding the little ninja around, I was a little nervous but when i started going it was all like being on a dirt bike so I felt at home.. But unlike my dirt bike the 250 is not so tuquie. My dirt bike is a 150 modded to be a 250 for racing, and its really touchy on the throttle if you are not careful it would do a welly in a second... So the 250 fills just a bit slow on take off to me. But I still love it XD its more then a 250 to me ^_^ so I'll keep on riding it for about a year then maybe upgrade to a 6R or CBR600.

Cant wait to get my license and gear and hit the town.

sadly though my dirt bike juts broke i don't know what is wrong with it bit its gearing has gone to hell..

I can't believe that is a 250. I had an '04 250 but upgraded to the 500 and after seeing some of the new style 250s I would almost consider going back to it. Not sure how I would like the decrease in power though.

Looks great. Take the MSF as others have said and get tons of practice, which I'm sure you're planning to do.

Yeah they changed the looks a lot witch is why I got the 250 over a 600 for the 1st bike that is. But it still sounds like a 250 lol. The guy I bought it from has a CBR600 and it sounds nice. lol

I found a MSF class cheaper then 290 yay but I'm gonna have to drive 4 hours. But my cousin going to take the class to he wants a bike when hes out of the marines. So he will drive. the class there is only 2 days long and cost 180.

And yeah I've practiced a lot I live 20mins away from town, so lots of open roads with no one on them, but maybe a car or 2.. Been taking it out everyday lol So fare its easy to handle. But still taking it slow anyway.. Better safe then sorry.
