Default my first dirt bike on a budget

my 86 125 kx, i have just over 500 into it so far and i just need to instale the new clutch cover, just rebuilt the carb, wich i had to make gaskets for because mikuni could not identify my carb ( i live 10 min from the corporate office) and i had to fix the return spring on the shift rod(would not go back down after shifting, i was glad it was a easy fix), i may rebuild both shocks too after i take it out and enjoy it, ca green sticker too.

Also new air cleaner, rebuilt rear master cyl, new grips, new front sprocket cover

Pic is of the bike with no carb or side plastics, ill post better ones once i get it all done and clean it up

A friend of mine raced a dirt bike as a kid. Decided to get back into it a couple of years ago. But sold it because, "I hurt in places I didn't know I even had"

It sounds like it is coming along nice. Enjoy it!

Red face

I love fixing/restoring bikes. Good deal on yours so far. I'm currently surfing Craigslist for a mid-70's to early 80's enduro. Looking around $1,000 or less and plan to ride with buddies who have $5-$10,000 dollar KTM's. should be fun to keep up with them and laugh when they are crying because they scratched one of their high priced toys.......I'm just synical that way.

Thanks, wish I could say it is mine. It actually belongs to John Schneider. He is friends/partner with my wife's father. Nice man.

Looks like the swingarm is extended or off a larger model?? Was previous owner into sand dunes or possible hill climbing??
