Just picked it up last Monday. Got some Vance and Hines Straightshots on the way for it.

Sweet 1500! I have the straighshots on my 05-1500 and love them. The Thunder teardrop air intake and Power Commander are on their way! I can't wait to see how the 1500 runs with some more fresh air coming in!

Thanks for all the compliments!!! I get my straightshots Friday and will install them that night. How do they sound on it? I'm guessing they sound like a HD? I cant wait to get them. I also got the V&H Viper Hot Tips to give it a custom look. Will post pics this weekend.

They sound great. Not too loud. I can cruise out of my neighborhood pretty quietly. Once you jump on the throttle though their true sound comes though. Nice throaty growl!

My Straightshots will be here tomorrow afternoon!!! I cant wait to try them out. I have about 120 miles on my bike, anyone think i need to replace the gaskets between the motor and pipes or would they still be ok?

I had 500 miles on my 1500 when I put the Straighshots on and I relaced the gaskets. Better safe than sorry in my opinion. The old ones looked fine but I didn't want to take a chance.
