Welcome to the forum RRaven. Love the X-mas ornaments on your Nomad, although I am now more anxious to see green grass and warm weather rather than Christmas trees and freakin' snow lol.
You'll find this to be a very informative place to hang out, and most of the people in here are very helpful and friendly.
You don't say where you are from, so hello from Ontario Canada.

Default It's a small world

Hello back to ya ! I live in a very small (but nice ) town called " Dutton "
In Ontario Canada ,about 200 Klms south west of Toronto .
We are about 5 klms from lake Erie and there is a lot of motorcycles in the area ( some great twisty scenic roads ) and lots of little ,out of the way restaurants .
I put 31,000 klms riding last year ( actually ) I have not missed any month , and bike in most weather . I have a pic from a ride I posted as a chalange . It is about -11 blizzard and I did 200 klms .
Snowmobilers have their winter fun ,why not us ?

Sounds like a nice area to ride bikes. We have tons of good motorcycle curvy roads as well, and we are right up against the Quebec border, which allows us to ride in both provinces.
If ever you come down towards Ottawa, PM me, and we'll try to hook up with ya and show you our biking roads.
My best friend traded his 1500 Classic for a brand new Nad a couple of months ago (all black) and he and I are just praying for all this snow to leave. He never even got to try it due to all this snow, so he bit the bullet and purchased it off the showroom floor. We hope to be riding by mid April like last Spring, but I doubt that will happen, unless we get an awful lot of heavy rain and warmer temperatures and sunshine. We're heading down to Laconia NH in June for their bike fest, and we plan on camping there for about a week. It should be a nice ride get down there as well as coming back via a different route.
Have a great riding summer.
Ray

I have been in contact with members of " A.M.M.C. " who's members are from the militairy and ride the area you mention .
I have built a motorcycle trailer and hitch and intend to do some camping this year .I have already had virticle plate checked out by propper authorities ,and before someone mentions it , it is only forbidden in specific places (that I will never go ) I will include pic of my rig . Click pic to enlarge.

I have also disigned and made self locking front weel chocks that I gave to a friend for Cristmas and I am just finishing a chock made of welded chain links , just for the look .
I am just playing around . No plans , just sketch out an Idea .
I retired young enough to do what I want and still want to do it .

I agree. It helps on group rides, or events when you are looking to meet up with someone. Frank came up to me at the NY Bike show and it was cool that he knew who I was and came to say hi. Without this, he'd have not known who I was, and we wouldn't have talked.

You're obviously a pretty busy talented fellow from the looks of it.
Like I said before, if ever you are down this way, look me up, and if possible, we'll give you the grand tour.
Right now, we're all just praying that all this snow goes away soon, although I'm pretty sure we won't have our bikes out for the same date we did last year, which was early April.
