Hi Mick!
Good choice I would say. The color sold it, but the ride is what is keeping it sold lol. Congrats on your new bike too. I didn't know the color choices were better in the states. That has to be a first. I always hear how we can't get the good stuff lol. Speaking of which, it's lunchtime! I am going out to ride a few minutes and put some gas in the tank! lol

Where did you get those highway bars? I love 'em. Most of the ones I have seen make the Custom look like a different kind of bike, but those are great. Where and how much? Thanks

Dude, again, your bike is awesome. I just looked back and took a closer look.
Did you have that rear wheel custom made? Because the spoke shape and pattern matches the front - very cool. And the rear pulley - awesome. I also really like what you did to the headlight. It's nice how you did the back part black but left the rim of it chrome. Reminds me of the yamaha raider. I also like how you left the license plate center mounted and to the fender. That looks good. Good taste. It's customized to a great extent, and usually there's something about customized factory bikes that makes me say "he went overboard there..." But yours looks very custom, yet natural. It flows. Ok, enough butt kissing...

thanks man......its actually the 17"/210 wheel and pulley setup from meancycles.com.....i had it powdercoated gloss black......... i dont really like how the Customs rear fender looks with everything stripped off, thats why i left the plate and such, it kind of follows the shape of the wheel better........ Thanks again...... Robb

Hey Trashman,
Today is the first time I have been able to see your pics (dang firewall's at work). Very, very nice. I see some additions on yours that I will likely try to copy, lol (sincerest form of flattery right?). I have thought about changing out the headlight, but not sure what I might want to do. Yours looks good. Thanks for the pics! Take care, Robert

Yeah, the rear fender on the 900c has always kinda been the cowlick of the bike. I have a black 900c too, and it seems like it blends in with the black tire and isn't as noticeable. Lighter colored 900c's seem to make the dirtbike rear fender more noticeable. But that's mainly in pictures. In person, the bike looks awesome.
Lowering it makes it look better too, like you did (and leaving the license plate where you did helps. That's why I'm leaving mine alone too). I think it looks perfect. The aftermarket fenders look good, but it seems like some of them don't flow as well. Something looks a little off about some of them.

900 Cruising the Cul-de-sac Video by Mark - MySpace Video I realize these aren't pics, just some quick links. I love that burnt orange color too and would probably have picked that color over the green I got last year if it was available then. |

There's not much to see. I am new to the site and just wanted to post some pics of my 07 custom before I get started on modding it. Tomorrow I put my new grips and footpegs on and I'm also getting it debaffled tomorrow until I get my DG Hard Krome Strippers in Black. Oh and my solo seat is on it's way

I have them in the garage. I have the Morton 7deg. rake on it now and I love it. Helps level the bike out after I lowered it in the rear.
Thanks for the compliment, I like your bike too.

I have a 74 kawasaki Z1 900 that I am burning fuses. I was having ignition buttons issues, took the switch off, cleaned the button and worked fine until I put the switch and grip back on. Every time it touched the handle bar it sparks and the fuse burns out. Anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong?
