I just picked up Friday so have not gotten to do anything to it yet. I do have the OEM backrest coming. I need it to feel comfortable with my kids on the back.

Hi, Rapzo. Those are Jughuggers by Bub. Pretty loud, but they sell what they call a "stealth" baffle for it. I've put about 7000 miles on those and they still sound great. VERY easy installation.

Do they have custom tips or is the line at close to the end just there for style?

the tips are aluminum and replaceable, I guess so they don't rust if they scrape. If you buy some I hope you get them aligned better than I did. I keep meaning to even them up so it looks better, but never have got around to it.

nono the tips and heat shields come with the pipes... sorry if I made it sound wrong. Heat shields are on the pipes as shown in the pic, though they look like the actual pipes they clamp on the whole length.

Got mine from Phat Performance for way less than anyone else offered, so you might check around for what they're going for now.

yeah, I was just lookin for em and Phat Performance is the cheapest Ive found at $516.95 but I found another site that has em for $561 but they say theyll meet or beat other competitors so I emailed em and said Ill pay em 500. I figure if they can knock off $45 whats another $17 right.

I doubt anyone stocks them to fit our bikes... so expect a 6 week or so wait... that's how long mine took.
