I call mine Piece. Because it was built one piece at a time.

I finally ended up with one........
"The Angel"....... not only for the riding attributes, but this winter, the tank and fenders are getting airbrushed with angels...... angels with decidedly feminine attributes, yes, but angels nonetheless...... (it seemed to be the diametric opposite of all the skulls and demons and stuff, and thereby just my flavor).

Default What is your bike's name... and why?

Well we have a thread about our actual names, but I ran a search and I didn't see anything about what our bikes are named and why? So to those of you who named your iron horses, what is it and why did you name it that way?

My bike is named Georgia (or George for short) after Georgia Lass (played by Ellen Muth) in the now cancelled showtime series Dead Like Me. It's one of my favorite shows and I'm stoked that MGM just filmed a direct to DVD Dead Like Me movie and has expressed interest in resurrecting the series.

I named it Georgia because it's a reminder to me that life is precious and to enjoy it while it's still here. If you haven't seen the show George spent her mortal life doing a whole lot of nothing until she was killed at the age of 18 and made a reaper. When she became a member of the undead she had to deal with her regrets and all the things she never had a chance to do.

While a lot of poignant things can be taken from the show, the main parable is to live life to the fullest so that, when your time comes, you can say you're happy with the life you've led. I always wanted a motorcycle but I kept putting it off and putting it off until I finally realized that I wasn't getting any younger.

Hence the name George .

Damn I missed it! If a mod wants to merge, that's fine by me. Otherwise, it would be nice to have it posted in the busiest forum, no?

Still in search of a name for my bike...both my car and truck have names (not as deep as yours). My car is a Saab and I call her Saabrina, and my truck's name is Olive, because she is OD Green.

Only had my bike for a week and a half, but I am thinking Zusana (yes that is spelled correctly) after a beautiful Slovachian girl I met. I get the same feeling of awe when I ride my bike as I did when I looked at that beautiful woman...

And for the record the feeling I get from my bike and from her is above the neck...

I picked Momiji (asak Momo) before I even met her. Then when I went to see her the first time the current owner mentioned that her cat's name was Momo. And hours later I get a text from a friend inviting me to Momo Lounge. THEN at night I noticed my friend's friend on myspace was named Momo.

So yeah! It was decided. ^.^ Momiji. Hello Momo! hehe

Mine actually has a story behind it. I was "just looking" for a 2006 black 10R, but couldn't find one in March 2007. I was afraid everyone was sold out. Called different dealers and they were out. Went to a dealer and he didn't have one. Also, I still had my 2003 6R to contend with. A friend of mine who was with me called another dealership and they had one....still in the crate. He said, "If it's there, you better get it." As we were making the hour long drive to the other dealership we were listening to Sirius radio. A song by a group I've never heard of came on. The group is out of Australia called Spiderbait. They remade an old song called Black Betty. The lyrics fit the bike very well and that's how she got her name....Black Betty bambalam. Luckily I was able to sell my 6R to a friend a couple of weeks later. I was a little worried, but what the hell, impulse buys can be fun as hell!

Funny thing, though - there may be a name change. I babsat my brother's kids over the weekend and we all watched their favorite movie, Finding Nemo. Later, my niece happens to point out that my Ninja looks like that fish, Dory. Hate to say it, but I actually have to agree with her.

that is just to funny...lol, but your niece is right....you might just have to change her name to Dory..
