Sorry, I didn't get mine done the other night.
My trip starts tomorrow with 2 other guys. We are all different sizes/heights and have 3 different bikes, so that's a lot of combinations there.

I see that your son has a slight bend in his knee when standing which is perfect because you never want your knee locked. I also notice that the ergos for son on the 650R closely match mine on the Z1.
I thought the same thing.

I'm kinda leaning forward on the 650R but it's not so much that I have weight on my wrists. I'll try to post some pics of me on it just so we have that perspective.

I'm looking forward to more posts with pics.

okay...here are my contributions!!!

inseam....34 inches.
shoulder to wrist(not everyone has APE arms) 25 inches.
weight near and around 180
height 6'1 inch
2004 Z1000

standing next to the bike in an upright position.

straddling the ZED as if at a stop light.

riding position!!! (for the next 2 pics i placed the bike on stands for the full effect....the bike is sitting on the ground ,but the suspension is not compressed)

remember....long arms

and this one is purely for fun.

cruiser position for when the road has worn me down...sliders help!!!!

daemon: Awesome! Thanks for contributing...the idea of putting the bike on the rear stand was brilliant. I was gonna ask how the bend in your knees felt but you answered it with your last pic.

I don't know if you remember but a few months back I asked you about your heighth and all regarding the Z1. If I would've seen your pics back then, I might've owned a Z1 a few months earlier...you make the bike look tiny! It's interesting to see how your heighth changes your riding position when compared to me. Do you have the stock bars on? The bar-end mirrors are throwing me off so I can't tell.

Finally, I love the detail that you put into your Z! The black with red, the red on the black (rear hugger), the gold side panels to match the gold on dragons on the red and on the black. You put a lot of thought into your bike...fricken awesome! Oh, love the BlueFlame exhaust too.

thanks eidian.
i remember you asking me about the zed and how it was hard trying to explain how it fit me.

that is one thing i can't get over is how i make the bike look small, but it is quite comfortable for me.

yeah i still have the stock bars that i really haven't changed position on.
i only moved them forward a littl for my long arms.

thanks for the compliments as well..

great idea for a thread and glad i could help

I think that comment mostly stems from my "misconception" about bikes that has carried over from way back when I was choosing my first bike (almost a whole two years ago!). Back when I was choosing my first bike, all of them seemed really big to me. Fast forward to me seeing pics of the 2nd Gen Z1 for the first time...I thought that the bike looked huge! So imagine my suprise when I was able to flat-foot the bike when I'm only 5'8". It's just seeing you next to the bike that makes the bike look "small", it's your heighth. Damn you for being so tall! (can you see me looking up at you and waving my fist at you? ) Sigh...I'll just have to settle being of average heighth...

LOL You wish! As a fellow five-eighter I regret to tell you the average height for American men is 5'10".

My pleasure. I had meant to do it previously but got distracted and forgot about it until it came up again yesterday.

Thanks! I'm not sure about keeping it in a specific place; maybe I'll ask one of the mod's if this can be a sticky.

Yeah, but they're people like Shaq or Yao.

Another "thank you" from me as well! That was a great idea to post a pic to show the ergos on the passenger pegs (is that your wife on the back...for reference purposes of course!). This thread just keeps getting better!

As an aside: I can see why you would prefer a cruiser, I had no idea that the knees can be bent in an angle that's more obtuse than 90*! Holy crap what a revelation (and I'm only half joking)! It must feel like you're practically sitting on a recliner when you ride...not such a bad idea for someone getting on in years like me (gonna be 41 in June). Hmm...maybe there's a cruiser for me in the future?...naw...I'm streetbiker (or someone who's going through a mid-life crisis at least).
