    Default Old school 440LTD ~big pics, sorry : ( ~

I saved this poor old Bear from a shed on a horsefarm in S. Carolina, after a good clean up from all the dirt/grass. She turned out nice after a hand washed bath

The seat is flawless and the leather was uncracked but my ole lady didn't like sitting up behind me while I scared the crap out of her I put a Hiback on her for my lady:

I got sooo bored one nite that I gave the tank a new coat of primer, flat, gloss, clear, and top coat and made my own freehand tank design, It's red with lighter red pin striping for the edges to soften the drastic red/black color combo... simple but catchy.

I hope you all like the step by step improvements, got more ideas kicking around and I'll post again soon, if ya'll have any I'll be happy for fresh ideas. Thanks for looking

Ebay from Fort Richie, Fl. It originally came off of a 81 440 that had been wrecked. If I look hard enough I might be able to find his "store" and I think he had one more.

Thanks my friend but I don't know if a seat off of a 440 will fit a 750. I'll keep an eye on e-bay though. Man, I just took another look at your seat and it looks rediculously nice.

Sweet ride. I want the seat! If you don't mind my asking, how much did you pay for it? You say the guy had one more, can I get a contact? ALso, are you interested in selling your old seat? Thanks! KZs rule!

I paid 66.00 for the seat with S/H. The store is "jbikeparts's" on ebay. I saw another one from another seller almost like mine but he had 3 bids on his with4 days ending behind mine

As for the old seat, it is practically prestine because it was locked up in a shed with blankets and a tarp over it, I'm actually more interested in trading it for a windshield. But if u have a e-maill addy I can send pics of the seat and u can make an offer.

I'm sure there is a hi back even for the 83. But whats also sweet is a back support bracket that replaces the grab bar.

I used to have a vn800a with 16" apes and a solo seat. Lowered about 2 3/4" in the rear. Sometimes I wish I still had her. Can you post a larger pic?

    Thanks precise86.

    My bike's a '78.
The fairing is a Rickman fairing, made in the '70s or '80s.
I bought it off a guy who had it advertised on Craigslist in my area.
I think it was made for a CB750. He had it on his GS1000.
The little chin scoop is off a Honda VF500. Just needed a little trimming for the exhaust.
