Boy Vindi, you got a bug or what. I am just stating facts as I know them, don't get so bent.

dwayne, the news story is gone from the local TV site. JAX PD has a reputation for shooting first and asking questions latter. I think the problem is thugs don't run like they used to, now they turn and shoot. In my eyes that is a game changer, and therefore most of the time things like this are justified. This story just stunned me.

By the way, the JAX PD and associated groups are having a charity ride tonight:

Light The City Charity Motorcycle Ride is Tonight | Firstcoastnews.com | Local News

I saw that thier going to block off traffic at intersetions and on ramps. This is going to cause major issues on highly traveled roads (even the interstate and a few bridges)... abuse of power maybe? It is probably a good thing though with that many bikes, an unknowing cager trying to merge with a crowd of bikes could be a problem.

I'm not getting bent. but where in your last statement does it even say ANYTHING at all about waving to Leos? Lets see now.............

Vulcan900 Here in JAX FL a police officer just shot a 16 year old kid in the leg for running away from him. The kid was un-armed, and afterwards was not charged with a crime. The kid just got shot for nothing. The running joke is the cop was overweight and couldn’t catch the kid.

I nod out of respect. Not for the person, profession, or the badge... but because they can make your life he11 (legally and illegally) if they are so inclined and get away with it. Just ask the kid.

One of the last ones(no i didnt give this one the bird although he deserved it) on a bike - he was actually leaned over it while standing beside with a radar gun - then proceeds to jump out into the MIDDLE of my lane to direct me to pull over like he was landing a plane. After i was all nice about the ticket i told him that he should be careful and that maybe thats not the best way to pull someone over whos doing 70mph. What if for any reason i couldnt stop? Or by slim chance that i just didnt see him in the glare of the sun? Then he wanted to be a real smart azz about that so i told him maybe next time my brakes would *wink wink* accidently fail. He told me to get on down the road basicly. Maybe i shoulda just asked him who pyssed in his corn flakes that morning. He was one of the young ones and apparently pretty tightly wound.

I could go on but whats the sense. You don't get it anyways. You never will.
This thread wasn't about Caps experiances with Leos or your opinion of them. We all know your opinion and Caps and Sebastions of Leos in general. You go out of your way at every opportunity to tell the whole world or at least this little part of it. Wasn't it just 1 or 2 days ago that a thread was deleted, Once again. Because of this type of talk. You may not agree with the way it was handled on that thread but thats the mods and the owners right to do it. All i'm saying is to quit turning any thread that has anything to do with Leos into a bash fest. Again I ask you, Where in your statements do you even remotely address the issue at hand? ( It pays to wave at cops ) Did you even say anything at all about that or just jump right in with the negative crap ( once again ) Because if you have, I can't see it.

So lets see if I get this right. You were pulled over ( yet again ) ( Seems to be a common occurance for you ) But i'm sure its just the area you live in.
Ok back to your being stopped. Your pulled over by a cop and Once again, you don't agree with that. Oh and you were all nice about the ticket. Wow.... lucky for the Leo that you were nice about it. I'm sure he appreciated it! So you talk to him in a condescending tone, then make a rather thinly veiled threat towards his well being and then are let go.
And you think he's wound to tightly? I'd say that if he beat on you with a night stick and then pepper sprayed you before handcuffing you, then perhaps he might be to tightly wound. From your story, I'd say he used a tremendous amount of patience and restraint to just let you go without perhaps just a little pepper spray.

I agree Vin, the only time I've ever been pulled over by an officer is when I've done stupid stuff. Cut off a cop when I had a passenger and only a permit (wasn't 'sposed to have a passenger). He pulled me over and gave me a warning. 15 over the limit on the highway and didn't see the lights in the mirrors because I was tucked on my little kz200, again a warning. Didn't stop (didn't put down my foot darn it, and I still don't usually) at a stop sign. Got a ticket. Got a 35 in a 25 speeding ticket in my Dodge. Every time it was because I was doing something wrong. I got dinged. I've never felt harassed by an LEO.

Yep I agree.... On my route, I make it a habit to wave at the RC's out here, every time I see them. I do the same for all the guys in school buses out here. Last winter it payed off. I hit the ditch while on my route and was ignored by several people for about 1/2 hour while I was trying to dig it out. The first bus driver that came along pulled over and had me pulled out in 10 minutes. The first thing he said to me was, Hey aren't you that courier that waves at me all the time?

Flame on Vindi.

I especially like where you say “I'd say that if he beat on you with a night stick and then pepper sprayed you before handcuffing you, then perhaps he might be to tightly wound.” And then continue to say that the LEO involved should have used a “little pepper spray”.

This is just one of several instances where you have made attacks against people on this board and inflammatory remarks in an attempt to heat up a thread.

Personally I think you should be banned so you can’t abuse people here anymore… but that is not up to me.

Vulcan, you need to work on your reading skills, 'cause he didn't say he thought the cop should have used pepper spray, he said he thought the cop showed patients and restraint by not using it. And given what I've read of Cap's opinion and demeanor where LEOs are concerned, I have to say I agree.

Where in my statement did I say he should be pepper sprayed? I said, and I quote ( I'd say he used a tremendous amount of patience and restraint to just let you go without perhaps just a little pepper spray.) Nowhere in that statement did I say he should be pepper sprayed! Go ahead Vulcan.... Point it out so we all can see it. Yes, I have an opinion. The same way you do. Your not the most subtle person on here either. ( FAR FROM IT )You are entitled to your opinion and honestly, I could care less about it. If you've got a problem with me. Put me on ignore. Or complain to the mods. I'm no different that 2 dozen other people on here ( INCLUDING YOU ) My guess is that the mods will tell you to suck it up if you want to keep playing the same game. Heres a good example of your Strong opinion: Originally Posted by Vulcan900

That statement reflects your opinion. Nothing more. Inflammatory, Yes ( in my opinion anyways ) But you don't see me stating that I think you should be banned. Since you've come on here, I've seen many statements like this from you. As I said before, your entitled to yours, I'm entitled to mine. Lets try to keep this off a personal note ok son. If not, move it on down the line. ( as they say )

Here, I would say I've had only 3 motorcycle cops wave back out of dozens. The first was riding in the a 4 bike formation 2x2 side by side and only one of the four waved back. And the other two cops that waved back were by themselves just passing. Never had a motorcycle cop pull me over but I hate it when they don't wave back. It makes me think they're told to be A**h0l3s to fellow riders.

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles.

But here is where we get our revenge !! In the summer, when we are stewing in our own sweat under the Carolina sun at 103*F and 85% humidity, we get to hear, "It's a wonderful 85*F here today. How's your weather, eh?". So now it's payback time: near record highs and very low humidity for the next 3 days. 10 Day Weather Forecast for Asheboro, NC (27204) - weather.com

You do know I just funnin' with you, eh? I really am sorry you got the "S" word already.

No worries. It usually doesn't stay for long around this time of year and I'm not the type to put away my bike until I absolutely have to. I'm usually one of the last in the fall still riding and almost always one of the first in the spring. Sometimes I'll take her out around Xmas or New Years as well. Its allready melting here and raining as well. So I'm hoping that I'll get another month in yet. Its always a crapshoot around here at this time of year. I envy you right about now though.

I was surprised yesterday when a friend and I were riding to complete some errands. We came up to a light and headed in the opposite direction was a moto-officer. Rather than waving, he told us to be safe over the intercom. Was quite nice actually.

I wave to all mounted officers. I see them at the service counter all the time. (I service FLHTPs for six local communities and the CT State Police)

In South Texas we call Motorcycle Cops "Copsicles". they generally stay cool. They stay off the interstates, preferring the two-lane highways, and they get called for funerals alot.

but yeah, i wave to every two-wheeler i see. cop or not. and they prettymuch wave back, unless they're ridin the clutch. I wave to all the cops in town, because I keep to about 6 or 7 mph faster than traffic. I want to look like i mean to be speeding, and I haven't gotten a ticket in 8 years.
