I would so love to see yoose guys on bikes again! Best of luck in your search. Even though it's been 10 yrs since I bought the FJR (10 yrs! Can you believe it!?!) I still remember what a giant PITA it was finding what I thought was the bike for me. That part I hate for ya's but when it finally happens and the wind is blowing through your hair and helmet tail I know you'll be in nirvana again.

The get-togethers finally petered out after the Bowling Green, KY trip a few yrs back. It was good while it lasted but I think as always all good things come to an end. Some good (for me!) came of them: Ken the HD Guy who first joined us in Wellsboro still rides and we still go and go. We were coworkers at the time and had just started experimenting with long(er) distance riding. After that the trips became more and more natural. This yr already we had a long weekend in Charleston, SC/Savannah. If you get your bikes and want a shakedown cruise we'll be in WV in August for a couple days (reservations already made) and maybe NC Outer Banks in October. Last yr we rode Hwy 9 from the mtns of NC all the way to Myrtle Beach. The yr before that we rode to and toured Mobile, AL for a few days. Rob K., a holdover from the BTK EAST rides, still rides with us sometimes. He did Hwy 9 and this yr will be in WV too! We'd love to have yoose along with us!

I still go and look at the pics I've taken over the yrs and wonder how everyone is doing. Remember these?

Marlinton, my first BTK. Arrived solo on that one

Wellsboro, Ken the HD Guy's first. He had never been that far north and really loved it there.

And Lake George. This is one of my favorite pics

So get them bikes! We need to ride!!

Thank you! We can't wait to get back on bikes again! I am so jealous that you are so happy with your FJR to have kept it for so many years and so many miles! I am kicking myself for ever getting rid of my 900. You live and learn though! I will just start over again, customizing another one.

I am thrilled that you and Ken are still riding again!!! Also glad Rob K.still rides with you too. I sure do hope, if nothing else, we can plan to get together and ride somewhere with you guys too!!!! Just because the "forum" rides petered out, that is no reason we can't still keep the tradition going ourselves! Chaz and I have alot of catching up to do on two wheels!!!

It's funny you mention the pictures! I haven't looked in a while, since I wasn't riding and it made me sad, but Chaz and I both have been looking over the pictures again. We took so many wonderful and fun trips on our bikes!!!! Every good thing doesn't have to come to an end!!!! We can try to grow the group rides again!

I bet that would be fun! I've never been "to" Arkansas for anything, I've always been passing through on I-40 to get somewhere else. Definitely something Ken and I would consider doing some day, just not this year. So far we've already been on one trip, have one more definite and another possible. He's retired so for him it's not a big deal but I'm still working and unfortunately my employer hasn't warmed up to the idea of unlimited PTO.

I totally understand! Work pays the bills, so it has to take priority over fun bike trips!
