reason #1 I bought my bike... pure dam sexyness.. that I could afford the insurance for (the black 636 is pretty darn nice too)

reason #2 it was used.. (with 360miles.. so new reallyI even had to break it in!!!) and picked it up for 6500 OTD. much much cheaper than new price!

If you are at a dealer then assume you can get on the bike... it is all most of them will let you do. Many of them wont let you ride their bikes.... dont ask for permission... and if they say something then say I am really interested on this model... and tell them that you have been there many times and have not even been approached... having said that you will like the bike otd for $7300.. if not you can go to another dealer. if they don't bend over backwards then find another one...

or. get online.. find a new kawi dealer...

I had to sign papers, give them my license so I could get a copy... and had to agree to pay for any damages caused to it should I have dropped it during the test ride.. All that with my mom AND my two sisters (10 and 7) there!!!!

As long as you're on a straight, long stretch of road with no traffic (and no cops ) don't be scared to open her up... she won't flip on you.

I opened mine up on my second outing (no previous big bike experience) and though I was obviously excited by the power, it did not overwhelm me.

BTW all I know is that my 636 does 112,5 m/h in 3rd at the redline.

And I get to 125 in under 10 seconds, no doubt about it.

That bike is INSANE!

Maybe the drool freaked him out? LOL!
Just jokin... I hate hate hate bad customer service!
Sorry you were treated like that!

Oh yeah I have opened it up several times...However, as I get older that boldness for severe speeds wanes. However, I think I am taking my shops invite to go to the next private track day...I figure then they will stop asking me. No more than 40 riders...However, I will need my boots and suit by then in October. I will definitely open that bish up there.

Lol not for fear to flip I am very confortable with a 15-20 cm power weelie in first.. (while under the speed limmit)

it is after 13000 rpm in first that I change to second and if I continue on it much longer then I am doing very easily 20 mph over the speed limmit, if I change to 3rd ill be up the 100 somthings in no time...
its not the power (I love that) its not the feeling of speed (it starts waking up at around 90 mph or so) it is the damage my walet might sustain in case a cop is there...

+ you dont need a straight!... the fastest I have ever gone on this bike was during a turn on the freeway....

in fact I dont like speeding... I know I know I have this bike and I dont speed!

but think about it woudnt you be angry if you where stopped for speeding on the freeway? now if you where on your favorite twisty road... that's a different story!

I still don't understand why some one would supercharge one of the fastest production made bikes with a top speed of what 184MPH. I understand people drag these type of bikes but when you have to start tying your hands to the handlebars just to stay on the bike, should throw up a red flag at some point. Talk about pumping out the adrenaline.

I know I will want to push it and push it on every turn untill I feel a bit unconfortable... the bad thing is that I can't afford to make a mistake...

Maybe by next october I will have a 98-02 zx6r for a track bike... since i wouuld like to see what my bike can do at the track but I don't want to take my bike to the track.....

on another note... today I did my first unexpected power wellie!
I was a good 6 to 7 inches off of the ground maybe more...

It all started with my friend (in his car) said hey I never heard your bike in the high rpms... so I said ok.. I let him get ahead and then from about 25mph I opened the throttle wide open. When it got to 10k rpm I had lift off!!! It was an awesome experience.... and while I had passed him by then he said he definately heard me... and he liked the sound.. he is a yammy guy.. wants to get a 92 r6... oh well what are we to do!

going to the track is the best (safest) fun you can have. I was able to go a few years ago and would love to go back again. the track I went to there was only one corner that was a little unpredictable at first but after a couple times around it wasn't that bad (there is a reason they call it the biatch). you get to know the track fairly quick, compaired to some of the roads out here that could have 5 or 6 corners in a mile with trees, ditches, other vehicles, road kill, live deer and dogs, the list goes on and on. you don't have to worry about any of that when you are on the track. much easier to ride to your ability when you don't have to spend as much of your attention on those things.

May be late post but the only difference betwene the '02 ninja and the 05-07 zzr is the paint and the upper fairing stay (the '02 has one that the zzr does not). There is no detuning or changing of the ergos. Any peice that fits an '02 ninja will fit the zzr.

Schools are much more expensive... I would take a school day for the first two or three track days.

I think they run for about 390s here in Ca. But I think it will be soo worth it to ge to a track and study it for the first 20 min. then turn it up for the rest of the day... but lets see...

frame sliders+ lots o money just incase.... = no track day for me for a while!
