Ride like that on a ZX10R & you will end up in a body bag.

Why not kill yourself, you're doing nothing but giving the rest of the bikers bad names & images.

I really can't stand "stupid forum users" who dig up old posts just to call someone "stupid". Not everyone wants to live life the straight and narrow, or the high and dry. I for one like to sample what is all aviable to me. I like to dip my toes into the perverbial ocean. Just because someone chooses a different life style than you does not make them stupid. In fact you just prove how much inteligence you lack by having nothing to say but derogatory name calling.

Sure its dangerous doing wheelies. Its also dangerous just getting on your bike. Heck, its dangerous getting out of bed. I know the consiqueses if I go down. I'm willing to accept them. My family knows them too. I've taken every nessasry step to make sure everything is taken care of if the unthinkable does happen. I work in a chemical lab. I could have phosphoric acid spash into my eyes and never be able to see again. I'd never be able to ride my bike again. I live each day like its my last. Why anyone would do otherwise I just don't understand. I know understand "planning for the future". But why put 90% of your effort to the future when NOW is when you are alive? NOW is when you can enjoy it.

Even the moderators like to carve up the twisties. Thats dangerous. What happens when you go around a corner full lean and you hit a patch of sand or gravel? You can be killed just as easy as if you are doing any other action on a bike. The fact is. Just getting on your bike is dangerous. How someone chooses to enjoy that is their own buisness.

If you want to rand and rave about kids killing themselves on bikes too big for them consider this... As posted by one of our members (it could have even been a mod)... deaths per accident have gone up in the past 10 years while over all motorcycle accidents have gone down. Not because of careless riding by kids, or speed, or being drunk, or any other rider related cause. Its because in America everyone drives an SUV now and you end up dead a lot sooner with an SUV than a car.

Please, try to make your posts more constructive in the future. This is a place for people to LEARN about motorcycle and ENJOY them. Its a place to SHARE our stories about things that were fun and things that went bad. If you have some constructive comments about someone that is great. Maybe they will learn something from you. I for one would never do anything to change my ways just because someone called me stupid. In fact I would probably try my best to do the opposite. Learn to respect the members of this society.

And example of something to replace "nothing like a stupid rider who hasn't learned his lesson" is "hey man, thats a bummer. I hope you recover soon and think twice before trying that stuff again, atleast without the proper gear" Its may take a few more words to make the constructive comment but I'm sure it will be much more appreciated.

Green Knight,

Read your post and agree with you. Everyone who rides motorcycles should know their limitations. I know what mine are and try and stay within them.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!!!!

Ha, this coming from somebody who endangers not only himself, but others when ridding like a mainaick on county roads.

So, this is a old thread eh, then why does it show up on the front page and the post right before mine was made on the 23rd, or is it just old cuz you say it is & we all know how special you are.

Sample away all you want, just don't ever endanger my loved ones (and yes I have family in the area you ride like a fool) with you're sampling as sooner or later you to will crash & burn.

Drive fast, drive safe do NOT be a fool and endanger others with you're stupidity.

And remember, it does not matter who you are, what you ride or how you ride that forms public opnion about bikers. They see 1 stupid fool and all bikers are stupid fools who like to drink, drive like fools and act like drunken thugs.

Cool, hope you fit in a body bag instead of several body bags when you crash & burn

Hmm--And we all wonder why motorcycle insurance rates continue to go up.
Perhaps a "mind stabilizer" would help lower them.

Glad to hear you made it out alive. Just out of curiosity... you mentioned you had about a year or so under your belt and had no gear on when you went down... and you plan on jumping to a ZX10R... any particular reason?

Thumbs down Time to grow up

Glad you are alive, but, how would you feel if you "stunted" into a child or senior, or anyone for that matter crossing the road. You can never take back having injured or killed another human being. I know what all the stunters say, " they are different, not like the others, they are in control, they are better than the rest" It's all true until you wreck another life.
Grow up and take it to a racetrack while you still can.

present ride. Mean Streak
past rides. Zx-7, GSXR 750, CBR 600.

Wrong forum if you want sympathy for your injuries. Those are well deserved. The bike is a diifferent story. Poor poor sweet bike. Your brother should be gut punched for letting you keep it after seeing you riding it that way. I get a kick out of stunters like everyone else but learn to ride safe or buy a dirt bike. More fun for the stuff your in to. Maybe you should look into motocross.

I guess the next person who goes down cause there were riding the twisties and hit a patch of gravel or sand shouldn't get any sympathy either. Theya re in the same posision as any stunter. Again, I don't stunt myself. I'm no where near good enough to do that and I don't ever plan on it. It doesn't bother me about injuring myself. I just can't stand to see my bike in pieces. I'm pretty sure the kid has the picture that he screwed up and we probably lost a forum member because everyone decided to rip into him. Everyone else needs to grow up too.

That's like comparing someone that dies in an accidental car crash to someone that gets crashes and dies while street racing. One is a bad situation, and ONE SHOULD HAVE KNOW BETTER!!

Riding the twisties is not safe pal. Not in any sence of the word. Both stunting and riding twisties are forms of agresive riding. You can't argue that either but I'm sure you will.

Driving in the cage the other day, I had 2 young guys on Ninja's and one on a HD, behind me. All three were weaving sporadically in and out of traffic, revving thier bikes in anger at the slower vehicles in front of them and riding so close to us that you couldn't see their front tires at times. I immediately thought to myself, "I certainly hope that the other motorists realize that not all of us ride with our lives on our sleeves like these guys are doing now." I'm not preaching, but please remember that you're not only endangering your life; you're endangering our lives and the lives of our children as well.

We are all human, every one of us makes mistakes. Just use this experience as an important learning lesson and enjoy the sport the safe way. Get Better Soon! We do genuinely care about you. Take care!

I'm not saying that what he did to wipe out was in anyway "ok". In fact its all kinds of not leagle, not safe, and yes, it does endanger others. What I'm trying to get across is that a little bit of contructive critizism would be nice instead of this "why don't you just kill yourself" "you won't get any sympothy" etc... Was what he did unsafe? Yes. Think about it from your own perspective. When you were a kid did you like it when people said things like that? Heck, I bet you didn't even like people giving you helpful critizism. Again, all I want people here to realise is that we are ALL HUMAN. Don't tell people to go kill themselves or just call them stupid without saying anything else. Whatever happened to that rule, if you can't say anything good don't say anything at all?

BTW Chromequeen. I agree with that. Some of the guys I used to ride with do that or they will pop wheelies about 10 feet away from the trunk of the car going slow in front of them to get their attention. I don't ride with these guys anymore because of things like that. But I don't go calling them stupid or tell them to go kill themselves because besides getting them all mad at me it won't do them a bit of good. And thank you Chromequeen, for showing a caring spirit for this kid instead of name calling and suggesting suiside.

Green Knight:
You're welcome. I agree with where you are coming from as well. I have only had one run-in on here, and hope and pray it will be my last. Being on the receiving end of rudeness or a critical attitude is not fun. I respect you a lot for sticking up for this kid and sincerely hope that he will continue to come back. I was soooo daring when I was younger that it is only by the grace of God that I reached the child-bearing years without killing myself. We all do stupid things, but don't want to be labeled as such.

AS one of the slightly risky teens (not anything too extreme) I can say that we do take constructive critisism the best of all... sure I might not agree with stunting, but to each their own.

The real problem here is the way we look at things. I'm looking at it with a pair of eyes that lost two friends due to SOMEONE ELSE doing those stupid tricks on a motorcycle. So you can look at it as fun and games all you want, while I'm going to continue to frown upon it, and YES I will wish for the death of morons on two wheels.
