Don't follow stock trailers too closely. Don't ask.

Yep, I can vouch for that. Without asking why "um, that's not rain..."

When following other vehicles - keep their left rear view mirror in your sight.

1. Take the MSF Course.
2. Most of you have said it in your own way. In a nut shell, start with a bike that fits and is comfortable to you. Each person is different. Each bike is different.

Learned this from brother in-law. Don't pick up chinese and put the bag inside your riding jacket thick sauces burn like crazy when thy spill. LMAO. He actually lost the bike halfway through a turn when sauce spilled and burnt him. Wasn't funny at the time but we sure laugh about it now.

Unless you already know when you are going to crash, dress like it will be today.

This from my father. Don't eat yellow snow and be very very wary of the opposite sex. First one I listened to second one well not exactly. I think the motorboat and motorcyle and good cooking got me.

Watch out for oncoming cages making left hand turns right in front of you!
I know of at least three guys that got killed that way. Never assume that when they slow down they will wait and let you go first! When I see a cage with it's left turn signal on coming towards me, I slow down drasticly, I almost come to a stop. It's THAT dangerous!

I'll flick my high-beams a couple of times as I'm slowing, forcing them to turn in front of me.

I'd rather lose some time, and be percieved as overly courteous (keeping them in front of me where I can see them) than leave them to their own devices (and being unsure of what they'll do next) and possibly have an accident.

Excellent advice and something I try to practice everyday while riding not only don't hang around semis but always ride to the space of lesser traffic and stay invisible.
