If your wife says it'll fit in your saddlebags, it will fit in your saddlebags, regardless of the physics involved.

check your tire pressure at least every other ride. You would be surprised how much air can leak out in just a 24 hour down period. PROPER INFLATION SAVES LIVES!

If there's a chance you're going to be riding at night, be sure to use or bring along a clear faceshield if you use one.

Or....as I have learned, keep the opposite of what you're wearing handy in your saddlebag! Then you can easily switch over if the weather changes or the day ends!!!

Never ride while you are angry or really pizzed off. That can only lead to bad things.

This may have been said already, but.....

AT AN INTERSECTION WHILE WAITING AT A RED LIGHT, DON'T ASSUME THAT IT'S YOUR TURN, AND CLEAR TO GO WHEN THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN! GIVE IT AN XTRA SECOND, AND LOOK BOTH WAYS FOR THOSE IDIOTS THAT ARE TRYING TO MAKE IT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION IN TIME , BUT DIDN'T QUITE MAKE IT WHILE THEIR LIGHT WAS STILL YELLOW!

Good judgement comes from experience and a lot of that comes from bad judgement.

1 ive read a bunch of horror stories about and ive used it a couple of times myself due to lights that dont sense you.

Dont trust that the left turn light will change for you at 1am, especially if you have a distracted and possibly intoxicated driver pulling up.

Running that red light may save your life, i dont wait to find out.

Don't assume the right of way!
You may have the right of way but try saying that laying on your back to the cage driver standing over you after he ran over you !!!!!!

This applies to more than bikes...

GET GAS NOW....DONT THINK YOU CAN MAKE IT A LITTLE FURTHER...

Especially if you fly (privately)...it's a number one killer...

Based on experiance: Rain hurts, june bugs hurt more (but tast good), rock debries chip teeth, and great owles break ribs and bikes.

In short; windscreens and faceshields are great.

Remember the mistakes you have made. That way, when you do it again, you will instantly remember it was a mistake.

I don't mind being an elder statesman for this group. I had the skill to get there.
