Default Don't Go Fast on Wet Grass!

haha, finally got my 2004 ninja 250r at home tonight and drove it for a while around my lawn because i don't have my full cycle lisence yet... it was about 9:45 PM and the grass was dewy and wet, and i was accelerating in second about 30 mph (i do have a large lawn) and both tires lost traction and the bike fell over and slid. it fell on me and i slid too but it was fun, but only because the grass was wet and ground was soft. dislodged the right signal so its just hanging but we can glue that, and thats all that happened. got some grass lodged in some places too. the slipping wouldn't happen on a normal cement road im sure, but incase anyone else out there is a stupid as me and rides at night on a wet lawn, ye be warned!

PS : i love this bike!!

If you're gonna crash, THAT'S the way to do it. Find yourself the cheapest beater you can and rip up your lawn to your hearts content. You'll probably learn some great skills on how to handle loss of traction, it's a blast until you run into a tree or fence or house, and you can't get busted for riding like a squid.

we were on a mans retreat, there were 12 of us going for a ride, my brother in law, on a cbr 1000 crotch rocket wanted to get out ahead of us, he was on the grass morning dew still there all I heard was his bike accelerate and around it went, just broke his brake lever and his ego.... we gave him a 9.9 for his efforts...

kc - thanks! yep we got me signed up for the next class june 20-22, i cant wait!! itll be a relief actually knowing how to ride a bike instead of just going in there not knowing anything!

vn - thanks man ya i got everything off except for what was wedged in between the exhaust pipe, it was still a little steamy

charlie - hehe yep thats what my dad said, its gonna be a lot easier when i take it onto cement cuz i half to try harder to balance and crap on the grass and bumps and holes!

sb - haha, glad everyone got outta that alright! crazy that he'd even think about that though.

dad and i superglued the light back on and pounded the bracket back out to being flat, along with superglued a little crack that came with the spill... good as new!
