Default Very nice ride... friendly biker at light...

What I learned... hmm just because someone does not ride a crotch rocket like me does not mean they are not friendly...

So the story went out for a ride (well just trying to put miles on my bike so I can get 'er broke in... had it for 1 week and only 140 miles .. and at a light this gentlemen on a brand spankin new Goldwing pulls up next to me and had a nice conversation and I reeeeealy loved his bike it was cleeen and he complemented me on my bike... That was a nice conversation even tho it only lasted for about 2 minutes...

This was my first pleasant experience riding a bike... and hope for many good one to come..

So I learned that a biker is a biker no matter what he is riding

Amen!

I was just cruising down one of the major roads here in Seattle the other night on my ZZR600 and some guys pulled up next to me on fully customized Harley's. They complimented me on my bike, and were showing me all the things they had done on theirs. All of these conversations happened over about 5 miles worth of stop lights. One of my best memories of riding to date

Glad you had a good experience. You'll find the majority of riders are fairly friendly. When my buddy and I are out on a ride we made a few stops along the way at the coffee shops (Dunkin Donuts here) for a break. Usually there's some riders there either before or after we get there. Most of the time they're friendly and will shoot the breeze a little. You'll be meeting a lot of friendly people out there. That's part of the joy of Riding.

Though I havent actually spoken to any other riders while im actually on the road, i have to admit i love the "biker wave" and acknowledgement that every single biker i've ever passed gives when they see you. It makes you feel like your part of something big and always puts a smile on my face.

I say...biking is a brotherhood. We look out for each other...Its everywhere in the world.

I love the bikerwave. In fact sometimes when I am in my I want to wave to bikers with the bier wave....but I do not do that because I myself hate cages when I am on a bike and they would probably think I am crazy waving at them!

When I stop at places, I get a lot of people chatting me up, either about the bike (it makes them curious with the rectangular headlight and the small four) or the saddle bags (people ask me where I got them, and how much, all the time since they're so big).

No matter what they approach me about, though, they're always stunned that the bike is 25 years old.

It's also riders of all kinds, not just cruiser guys. For some reason, I get people wanting to ask about it. I never got that with the KZ - and that bike is 30 years old. Maybe the single wasn't as much of a conversation piece...

i often get into pretty good conversations with harley riders. usualy it starts off with them telling me "Thats got to be one fast bike!" ............ i will give any one respect if they give it to me, biking has let me meet alot of real cool people that i would have never met before.... gotta love the lifestyle

i had a rider stand up on his bike today to wave at me. well half stand, got his arm way up in the air waving like a fool.

i was pulling up to a light so i was already slowing down, so i eased off the clutch and waved back.

gotta love it.

oh yeah.. moped guy waved at me too. i giggled and gave him the two finger salute and then i dusted him
