Default The girls are asking to ride the bike... not the rider.

Further - Though the bike is a mad chick magnet, the chicks are in fact all mad.

Also - don't do 2 up until you are ready, or you interfere with the bike's inherent ability of making you awesome. Luckily for me, I'm too timid - though it seems to have the same effect.

this is very true... I've given rides to my married friend (which her husband had a little talk to me before we left.. wanted to wheelie out of there but thought better). My one single friend of about 6 years I also gave a ride. We aren't really friends, we just tolerate each other at this point..

When I had my first bike ages ago, I recall a few of my female co-workers asking for a ride on the bike. It was all in good fun, and just an excuse to take longer lunch hours apparently. It got kinda funny when they started showing up in my office around 11am...with a helmet, jacket, and a cheeky grin. Still had to make sure they knew how to be safe passengers tho. Couldn't have them going nuts while we were on the highway.

Happily married now, but I can't seem to get my wife on the bike...

Yeah, everyone seems to be asking for a ride with the exception of my girlfriend, who seems to be quite adamant about NOT riding it. LOL.

It's all good, though. I'm still too noobish to undertake such a daring task.

My wife is willing to ride with me to see if she's okay with it. She won't ride unless she's completely comfortable with my riding abilities. But we also can't ride until I get a good cruiser. She doesn't like sport bikes.

The people that have ridden with me trusted me a lot in general so they knew i wouldn't drive crazy. Told them once i had 10k of riding in.. i'd give them a ride.

Just realized scary thought... they knew me and actually trusted me not to be a happy *** lunatic?

My wife will not ride on the back, but then again she has her own bike to ride. My mother on the other hand loves to jump on the back.

i havent even had anybody ask for a ride! well, not true...one of the girls at work joked about it, but thats just joking. shes got a man and hes got a bike and its a cruiser. much more comfy for 2 upping!
and my girl said something about riding on it, but i told her not until i get enough experience...which will be a long time!

when my mom saw my bike she said "oh you got one of those! i thought you got a normal bike...i wanted you to save me some gas!" she hardly drives anyways, being retired, so its not like the 17 mpg her Trailblazer gets matters much LOL

but still...id rather ride alone. i dont have to think about that extra person/weight!

I'm 3 - 0 for convincing the reluctant wives of friends to let their hubbies buy motorcycles. Old Harleys are called Milwaukee Vibrators for a reason.

Of course, I never tell the ladies the bike their husband will purchase doesn't have the same effect. The hubby can explain that one.

I love riding with a beautiful girl on the back of my bike to share the ride and enjoy the scenery with. Riding alone gets a little boring/lonely at times.

with the exception of ONE passenger (who I couldn't wait to drop the hell off), EVERY ride w/ a new female pillion has been "successful" But now I have a GF and don't give bike rides anymore......

Seriously I would limit your passengers to just 1.
But doubling should be fine, especially 2 lightweights at a mere 150 each.

i would say no 3 up on a bike...i think the weight limit is 375 lbs, so if you weighed 150 and a passenger weighed 150, thats 300 right there. add another 150 and...no. LOL

That reminds me of the bumper sticker my dad (who's 59) has on his truck: "I may be an old dog, but I can still bury a bone."

You can definitely take a 250 out with two people...I weight 160 and the other weighed about 130...and my 250 did awesome...still did 85 no problem on the freeway. Barely noticed a difference to be honest.

over the years i have done quite a bit of 2 up riding.... and with the right passenger its great.....

i have had mf g/f on the 900 custom a cpl of times but i didnt enjoy it at all and she found it uncomfortable....lets just say she is a big girl and the seat is quite small....nuff said on that. But on the bright side she says she wants a bike..... so next year its the msf course and a bike, she fell in love with a new nomad at first.... then she saw a white on silver 900lt..and she wants it....but i have talked her out of that bike for now.. she agreed that for year one and possibly two of riding it should be done on a smaller (read cheaper, nearly disposable) bike.....maybe an old 250 or 400 rebel....or a ltd 500 heck maybe even an old honda twinstar or yammi exiter 250... ya bikes 500cc and under are still cheep and sorta easy to find around here... well unles you are talking about an 08 250 ninja...i think those things are made of 100% pure unobtainium !!!
