Default BikeBandit.com Customer Service is Pretty Good

So I ordered front brake pads for my bike from BikeBandit.com last week. They arrived today and they're not the right ones. I contacted customer service and they confirmed that I ordered front pads for my bike, but also confirmed that what I received is wrong. Their catalog / database is incorrect.

They're sending me a pre-paid shipping label to return the wrong ones and sending me the correct pads. The correct ones are EBC and cost $5 more but the customer service rep said they would send them at no additional cost.

Fingers crossed that I actually get the right thing this time.

What kind of pads did you get? I purchased a set of EBC Double H pads (Per recommendation from the parts counter guy), hopefully they aren't overkill and make me do a involuntary endo on the bike or eat my rotors alive lol.

Those are the same as I got. The EBC double H organic pads. A friend at work says the organic grip well but wear faster.

EBC Double H isnt organic, its sintered metal, its supposedly the more agressive versions for sport bikes. They do make lower end organic/kevlar ones but the double H isnt organic.

I've been dealing with them for several years on an older Kaw. No problems and I've spent a ton of money with them refurbing the old bike.

LOL. You do know you are legally allowed to keep any unsolicited product mailed to your address with no obligation to the sender. A law student friend of mine had to get his HD TiVo replaced. TiVo sent him his replacement and two others. Yes, they sent him three. He looked up the law regarding it, saw that he could keep them. He gave one to us and sold the other one.

Default BikeBandit.com is good

Yup, I have been ordering from bikebandit.com for years and they are the best! Way better than my local dealer and their pricing is good. I get all my tires there and they usually show up the very next day. I am not sure how they do it, but they will keep getting my business.

I always go HH on the EBC pads. They're better than stock and cheaper too!

Yes so far I've been very pleased. I've placed three more orders with them for parts -- had to rebuild my calipers/pistons. Everything showed up fairly quickly.

Speaking of, i just installed my EBC Double H pads front and rear last week, holy crap what a difference over the stock Tokico organic pads that were in there. Day and night difference, braking modulation is very good too, not grabby, perfect combination of brute braking power but totally controllable, def will buy these pads again.

That's good to hear. I haven't been out on the bike yet with the new pads. But I just picked up the forks from the shop this afternoon and will start putting her back together over the next couple of days. Hopefully I'll take her out on Sunday for some quick laps around the block, pull the fairings again, and check all the bolts again. I should be back on the road next week.

I'm a fan of bikebandit.com myself, ordered several OEM parts and they were shipped quickly.

i like bike bandit and ease of ordering stuff, but shipping takes to long for me. Took about 2 weeks to get a critical part. not sure why it took so long i live in wisconsin.

I've ordered things from them, as well. Other than one backordered item, everything has always gotten to me inside of a week.

They even had a fuse box for my 25 year old Honda.

Yup, the only order that took more than a week was due to a backordered part, which I guess is an issue with Kaw and not bikebandit.com. In fact, they sent me an email with an update so I knew the deal. I called my local dealer and they confirmed the item was on backorder from Kaw, so I just waited for the item from bikebandit. They shipped the other items in the order first, which I thought was nice of them.

My KTM parts take a little longer... but that is KTM for you.
