Hello All
Has anyone in the forum installed stainless steel (Braided) brake, clutch lines on C14?
I am considering doing this & I'm just curios if it's worth it.

I do like the looks of Braided lines..

Thanks for reading.

In my opinion, the rubber brake lines should be replaced no later than 5 years after buying a new bike. Ozone and sunlight attack rubber bits(tires, carb ducting, and brake lines). If the new lines do not have a scuff protection on them, the line will act like a slow speed file, rubbing through fuel lines, wires, paint, and other brake lines.

I've found that the 1/4" I.D. black electrical spiral wrap makes a very good scuff protection, it's easy to install, and is available in the U.S. at electrical supply stores, and Radio Shack Stores.

A hand operated vacuum pump makes purging the brake system of air easier than any other method. The Mity-Vac brand has many features other than bleeding brake systems.
