Purolator Pure One filters have lots of filtering media and have consistently done very well in analysis testing. They're usually around $6 - $10 depending upon size or much less when they are on sale, where I live. I use them on my VN900. The ones I have gotten are tan, but if that's a concern they easily can be sprayed black or whatever with rattle can paint.

I understand the WIX brand of oil filter is considered among the best made.

Napa Gold filters are also made by WIX.

Try Autozone or Advance. I use either the Mobil or Puroilator filters. I also have a VN900. I get the puroilator at Advance. K&N have a nut made into the end of them for ease of removal.

Go to Wallymarts and buy the SuperTech ST7317. Price and performance can't be beat.
