Tires for 2002 Connie?

I'm currently riding on Dunlop radials. The sizes are somewhat unusual by today's standards, and the offerings are scarce. 120/70-18 front, 150/80-16 rear. Looking for feedback about other brands and availability. Avons may be in the works. Any suggestions? I'm looking for decent tread wear, combined with good all-around grip. Ride all year long, including cold days here in NY, as long as there's no black ice. My riding style is moderately aggressive in the twisties, but not to the point of being considered nuts.

I haven't had them long enough to give a good mileage number, but the Bridgestone BT45s in 110/80-18 front and 150/80-16 rear have the best traction I've experienced so far, especially in the wet.

Thanks for the reply, Gary. Two things, though... are they radials, and is a 110/80 suitable as a replacement for the factory standard size of 120/70?

They're not radials, and the 110/80 is a suitable replacement for the 120/70. The Concours was originally equipped with bias ply tires, and I haven't experienced anything unusual with these tires.

The folks on the COG seem to recommend most the Avon storm for the front and Avon Avaro for the rear. They claim they have great grip but may not last as long as some. The OE Dunlops are less expensive.

I used up two sets of OEM Dunlops and two sets of Avons before trying the Bridgestones, and the stones have the best traction of these choices. And they're also the lowest priced. I just have to see how many miles I'll get out of a set.
