The Bike is (finally) Here... next question.....???

Picked up my 2011 Voyager on Saturday... but couldn't ride it because I'd lost the license plate from the 1600 classic I traded. (can you say IDIOT?). Got a new plate on Tuesday and was only able to put about 25 miles on the beast. It's GREAT!!! Comfortable at first blush but looking at ways to make it more so. So.. here's the question. Can I put risers on the handlebars to bring them closer to me without doing any rewiring/cabling? It looks like there is a fair amount of slack. Has anyone moved the handlebar position back. What did you need to do?

Thanks, yet again.

Been trying to upload pics.. When I try to upload it just hangs.. and doesn't add pics. I've resized all day long.. and still nothing. Anyone who can help.. please let me know. thanks. To insert a picture in your post, transfer your picture from your computer to a photo hosting site such as Photobucket ( (it's free). Once it's on there, you just copy the IMG code and paste it into your post.

I use Imageshack - also free, have had excellent results, easy to use - here's a sample pic: (

So... I need a third party hosting (although free). Used to be able to upload from computer. That sucks... Thanks for the heads up. Appreciated. Guess I'll set up a Photobucket or something account. Pics soon !!! Thanks again.

Space required for a board to itself hold and manage pictures is quite large, compared to pure data - use of the picture hosts requires the board itself to only display the code link - just as fast, and lots less work and bandwidth to the board...

Now that's sweet. I can certainly understand trading up to that beauty!

There are a couple different ways to do it. Risers are probably far and away the cheapest way. I had to buy the ones I had on the VN900 from scootworks. I dont remember how the voyagers handlebars are set up. My Venture I put a set of riser blocks in. I have also used this type on a different bik years ago.$(KGrHqIOKiIE4orfF6u6BOO19djg5Q~~_12.JPG This is the type I had to use on the Venture. They were a pain to find as it has 1" bars and I could find 7/8" all over the place for around $30$(KGrHqIOKkIE1qUPbU1RBNo2Ndbpow~~_12.JPG Here is an e-bay page to sort thru ( A6065&rt=nc&_nkw=kawasaki%20handlebar%20risers&_dmpt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245.l1513&_pgn=1). Most of the time if your not putting excessive reach or like ape hangers on you got enough free play to work with.
