Well after 48,000 miles in 2 years and 10 months on my 2008 Nomad, I wrecked it. The back tire picked up a nail and blew out. No serious injuries just a few scrapes. I decided to go with a Vaquero this time. I have had it for a few months and I like it just not completely in love with it yet though. My big question is the passenger backrest. Some guys will know what I mean when I say if the wife doesn't like the ride, neither do I.

The only option that I've found for a passenger backrest is from Kawasaki. It's the KQR backrest. It is positioned very low and provides no back support really for the passenger. Does anyone know of a backrest extender mod I could put on the bike? Or... Another brand of backrest to install? I have looked and there really isn't much in the way of accessories for this bike yet. We'll be taking longer trips soon and if I can't find anything to put on this I will probably end up and trade it off for something else.

Thanks!
Chad

Looks like Mustang makes the hardware and a couple backrests for it.

Heres what I could find at Dennis Kirk (https://www.denniskirk.com/mustang/studded-passenger-backrest-79689.p397278.prd/397278.sku). You are right though, if she aint happy your not going to be either. Thats why I got the RSV. Looked at the Voyager, but she had more leg room and overall room on the RSV.
