I thought I was ok with the stock seat until I tried a Corbin. Wish now I had switched yrs ago. I highly recommend it.

I hate the Corbin on my Connie 14, a half hour in the saddle and I feel like I've been sitting on a boulder.
As with everything..........you're mileage may vary

I have a Corbin, it's a good saddle. For really long rides I still use an Airhawk on top of it though. The thing I like best about it is you don't get driven down onto the tank when you hit the brakes like the slant of the stock seat made me do.

I have a Corbin on mine as well, it is like sitting on concrete at first, you need run it in, took me about 2000ks now I am fine with it.

In winter I just sit on the Corbin but in summer I use a bead rider on it to get some air flow under my butt.

Over all I think it looks good, I like the split seat, I like the riding position which is more upright and you do not keep sliding forward into the tank like on the OEM Seat.

It does however take a little bit of getting used to, I do not regret getting one.

Rick Mayer makes custom seats. They are phenominal. Corbins are ok.

I have had Spenser in FLA redo my OEM saddle for around $165 with good results. Think he's redone 3 different saddles for me. And, Loren Baldwin made me a saddle, too. I like his work a great deal. Check it out here: Baldwin Motorbike Saddles - Handcrafted Custom Motorcycle Seats (http://www.motorbikesaddles.com/) He makes 2 different types of saddles. Excellent work.

One more vote for a Corbin. Maybe there are slightly better saddles than Corbin but the Corbin is an order of magnitude better than stock. Rides are far more fun when your butt isn't hurting. Well worth the price.

I will throw my vote in for Corbin too.. I have one on my Ninja! Comfy.. Going to order the gunslinger in a few weeks.. Their website is pretty awesome to navigate as well. Very easy to order and browse.

I know this thread is old, but there may be someone out there still seeking info on this topic...

Get a Russell Day Long and you will ride over to the Corbin factory just to slap the owner. Nothing beats a RDL and I mean nothing...

Rick and Bill Mayer (brothers, but separate companies) make a nice seat as well. true custom and much better than Corbin.

Another good builder out of California that makes a ton of seats for the Connie is Seth Laam.
