I seen on a post it is possible to shorten the rear shocks on a 2012 voyager about 1". Does anybody know how to do it?

If you mean be removing the bushing at top of spring to lower, advice against it. One forum member did and when riding 2up, the shock blewout due to this. Was told by dealer the only way to lower is with shorter shocks. May have been trying to make a sale, but when this guys shock blew, it dumped the shock oil on his rear tire.

Blowing the shock might have been a coincidence, but removing the bushings from the shocks is definitely not the right way to go. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's there to keep the piston from over-compressing the oil in teh shock, which CAN blow the seal, and hence ruin the shock.

Of course, a lot depends on a lot, like total vehicle weight, riding conditions, etc. If it's just one reasonably sized person riding normal road conditions, you could get away with a lot of changes like this.
