Slight coolant loss, expansion reservoir stays cold /2000 ER-5/

Hello, everyone, new member here.

I ride a 2000 Kawasaki ER-5 and I'm trying to figure out if there's something wrong with the cooling system or it's all in my head

The last few rides I felt the bike run hotter than usual, even outside the city doing 90-100 kph. I noticed the expansion tank under the seat was almost empty, so I topped it up. The level hasn't moved at all since, there are no visible leaks, no white smoke from the exhaust, no power loss and no coolant in the oil, in other words no indication the head gasket might be at fault.

The thing is even after the bike heats up enough for the fan to kick in, the coolant in the reservoir remains completely cold. Is this how it's supposed to be?

I tried bleeding the system today by letting the bike run with the radiator cap off, but nothing changed. The radiator itself was completely full.
