Recently I've been wanting to buy a street bike and mod it to be a back country adventure dual sport machine. I used to own a SV650 and that seems like a semi-ideal bike to do what I want - the problem with the SV is how the exhaust runs down the bottom of the bike. I get promotional emails from Klim since I buy a lot of their stuff, and recently they had a photo of a kawasaki that someone modded just like I'd like to (at least from what I can see). Does anyone know what model this bike is?
The most i can tell you about that pic, kz900 or kz1000. The exhaust flange and cam cover looks like 1979- 80

Jim
1979 kz1000b ltd
stage 3 cams
pod air filters
4-1 open exhaust(no muffler)
full rewire
dyna-s ignition
dyna 3 ohm coils
Yea for a dual sport i would think smaller like maybe a 1973 Kawasaki S2 350.
