What are the three tubes coming from the lower back of the fuel tank?

Working on a 1990 Kawasaki ZR550. Would like to know more about the function of three small tubes coming out of the bottom of the fuel tank, at the back. (Two on the right side and one on the left side.)
Can anyone tell me how these tubes are routed inside the tank? Where do they go inside the tank?
Why does gas not leak out of these tubes when I put gas in the tank?
I assume they are part of the emissions (vapor) control system.
Thanks!

Does your motorcycle have a fuel gauge? see Fuel Tank diagram. The diagrams don't show a fuel gauge sender for the 1990 ZR550, but the 92 B3 does have the unit. On the B3 one of the tubes would be a drain hose for the fuel gauge in case it leaks. The tubing is connected to a fuel gauge cover. If the gasket leaks, the tubing directs the fuel away from a hot engine. The other two hoses would be vents & would have been routed to an evaporative canister. see Canister diagram.
