History
The E1 and E2 were Kawasaki's shaft drive flagships. The E1 made it's debut in 1979 and sported the gen II 1015cc MK-II motor. They were unique in that they had 40mm front forks, tapered roller bearing steering, and 4.8 gallon tanks for long hauls. Most were dealer fitted with Vetter Windjammer fairings and matched hard saddle bags. They are the shaft drive versions of the "MK-II's" that Eddie Lawson rode in the 1979 AMA Super-Bike race in Daytona winning the triple crown honors of "Worlds Fastest Production Motorcycle"... https://youtu.be/jc-dB4DB7dg
