History
A way to keep my hands busy and get dirty at the same time. So I bought on auction a 1984 Kawasaki KZ1000P bike. Someone had already tried the cool Police bike upgrade with a custom rear diamond plate fender, skull rear brake light, and a custom black and white ghost skulls paint job. The bike was is bad shape. Just what I wanted!
So I stripped it down to the frame. Re-painted and wire brushed every bolt, shortened the tail section of the frame, installed shorter shocks, changed the rear to a 16 in wheel, rebuilt the motor and carbs, changed to a new headlight and front fender look, installed a new rear fender, rebuilt clutch, rebuilt front and rear brakes rotors and master cylinders, added foot pegs, changed sifter and brake levers, rebuilt both handlebar control switch assemblies, added new tires, rebuilt front shocks, those are just a few that come to mind.

Modifications

Drivetrain
18 inch front and a 16 inch rear
Interior
new rings, valve seals, seals, gaskets, carbs rebuilt, i was going to use pods for the carbs but changed at the last min. to keep the air box. I am tired of the constant "tuning" with pods and CV carbs so I stuck with stock. Getting ready to install the carbs. then I can get this running.
Exterior
Still working on the tank. getting it ready for paint.
Audio
shortened the rear wheel to a 16 inch and installed 1982 kz750 shocks. front were rebuilt with just simple dust guards
