Check your battery cable.

 

I've taken the battery off and checked all of the connections. I've put the battery on a battery tender for right now. Ive got power to everything but the fuel pump. When I try to start it it wont turn over. Would the battery cause this ?

 

Check the wires coming from the tank where the fuel pump is located. Follow them and see if there is any damage to the wires.

 

The coating on the wires are damaged, the wires feel okay. Would that reset the clock back to zero, each time I turn the bike on ?

 

Low battery voltage could cause this. Should be over 12 volts. You can also take it to auto parts store and have it load checked to see if it's any good or not. If the battery was not properly initialized when the bike was set up, it may be at the end of its life.

 

Will do anything under 12volts is bad.

 

I have a 05 zx10r that wont start. When I turn the key it tries to turn over but nothing. Not even the fuel pump comes on. I also noticed that the clock resets itself back to 1:00. I have checked the battery and the voltage reads at 12.4. I''ve also checked the fuel pump connections and tey are tight. The bike ran fine about 1 week ago, prior to lowering with extreme links. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

raise the tank, get a simple light test and see if your getting any voltage to your pump. you can test the plug or keep it plugged in and poke the power wire to your pump to see if your getting any juice. start there and post back
