Good job! I always thought of doing my lights but never did for any of my bikes. Great job!
You doing engineering? How much brighter are those lights...One thing about riding at night is my lights do not project that far out...Some roads I am on at night have no lights.Haha thanks! Yeah that's a fluid dynamic book...one of very long and hard textbooks I need for school...that's why I have that book on my desk so I can read when I don't want to do homework.
You don't need to be a wizard to do what I've done just some good common knowledge! ha
Yep, chemical engineering to be exact. You doing engineering? How much brighter are those lights...One thing about riding at night is my lights do not project that far out...Some roads I am on at night have no lights.

I assume you're talking about the HID's vs halogens becuase your zx10r already comes with projectors. HID's are very bright, they light up the whole road and everything around them like sunlight. To compare the 2, the HID is basically a highbeam halogen, but without blinding people. When you turn on the HID highbeam it's like sunlight shinning in front of you. If you're like me and stay over at a persons house and don't want to get caught be her dad in the morning (oops I didn't say that) I'd buy them, they're defiantly worth it. I got mine for $100 and they're easy to install. I can even use my tinted visor becuase they light up the road so well.![]()
Oh I forgot to say they don't have a yellow tint like halogen, so everything is a lot clearer and more noticeable. I currently have the 6000k in, they produce a white light with a blue tint to it.That is what I wanted to hear...Riding at night can get sketch and I will be honest, the lights on my bike do nothing.
Lucky you! I love the adrenaline rush from the night:biggrin:Fortunately I have no need to ride at night (I've had to do it on one occasion and didn't enjoy it at all) so I can save myself the trouble.
I would like to see the finished look on the bike though... aesthetically it could look really sick
Great job and we eagerly await mod number 2
**** man you really putting some work on that thing!Yeah almost got the 2nd mod done which is the steel brake lines. I Should be done that today.
3rd mod: I'm going to buy the front and lower fairing in carbon fiber
4th: I'm going to get flamed for this...a license plate bracket that can be moved by a remote control to hide the plate.
The rest is pretty much simple stuff that I'll buy to make the bike look better.

Well I have to! The daytona comes pretty perfect so I don't have anything else to do but the zx6r. Brother is pretty excited to ride the zixxer next year.**** man you really putting some work on that thing!
No flaming from me... I have often thought myself of how one could build a mechanism to hide the plate in some way.
Are you going to buy one ready made or are you going to build it yourself? I'd love to know how it works!
Can't wait to see the finished look of the bike either![]()
