Have any of you heard of drilling out part of the 1500's fuel line brass piece (in the carb) to richen the fuel mixture? i've been told that the stock setup is too lean (due to emission reg's) and that by opening up the line the bike runs smoother- ie less choke time during warm ups, less mis-fires after relieving throttle, etc
Have any of you heard of this or know of any benefits? Thanks!

re

some bikes will respond to a little richer mix but in general its more
noticable with intake mods and a jet kit and also removing the epa junk
if you want to reap a little performance then do the intake change, marble trick.jet kit,and pipes and the bike will come alive - otherwise it will run
fine at the factory settings-just a little cold natured and a "cough" now and then

go here for the scoop:

Thanks guys for the info, I guess for now I'll leave everything as is in stock condition. Kind of tight on budget & not worth doing something that would probably be unnoticeable anyway. Ciao...
