I live in Mobile, Alabama. I have dropped by the local Kawasaki dealer several times in the past few months to sit on a 1600 Classic and compare with the fit of my Volusia that I ride now. They NEVER have one in stock. Do these bikes really sell that fast???

The dealers in my area can't keep any cruisers in stock. One mentioned that he weet through as many cruisers this year as he did sport bikes.

But you're best off to ask them yourself, or possible try another dealer. It's the end of the season, the 04's are going, and the 05's are starting to arrive. Could be your timing.

1600 availability

I found a used '03 1600 (1200 miles on odo) about 50 miles from where I live. Have had it 1 month. Great riding bike, upgraded from a BMW K75.
I've installed saddle bags, a lightbar, engine guard and windshield. No regrets!!!

the two local shops that carry Kawa's both have 1600's in stock. In fact one of them has a black '03 1600 in stock, new not used priced to sell at $10k....I'll get you the name and number if you like.
