i just bought a 1978 kawasaki kd100 and the oil injection is not working (not hooked up).. previous owner said he just mixed it in a gas can, then put it in the tank of bike , but he never told me what the mixture is! does anyone know the oil to gas ratio for these old bikes? 50.1, 32.1 ect!!!!
i want to see if it will start and dont want to burn it up!

That really varies on the rider and the machine.

Ratios are a plenty. Pick one and see if the motor likes it.

40:1 with synthetic oil and reg fuel is a good ratio.

Heard guys running 26:1 with premium fuel and oil.

IIRC back in the day when your bike was new most of the 2 strokes were being run at 20 to 1 when using pre-mix. Buy yourself a ratio-rite measuring cup, it will make your life much easier.
