I bought a kz 440 Ltd and since the beginning it gave me a lot of problems the twin carb so I decided to convert it to one 34mn mikuni and eleventh hour manifold 2 to one. Does anyone can give me some further advice on how to do it? For starters I have to file or cut a piece of the under seat frame, a part that it's not important as integrity and security concerns, but I will appreciate any help of any kind to complete this project I really want to make it work ,I'm 60 years old and I don't have years to complete it!. Thanks for any help!.

I already done it! I installed a 34mn mikuni carb and a eleventh hour manifold 2 to 1 and instead of changing the jets I myself made them custom bigger main and pilot I got a extra small drill bits and bore bigger both jets! And then it was just a matter or put the needle clip on second space from top and to finish a little adjustment of the exterior see for middle, and now it's been working great! Just great!

So are stock carbs 24mm? I say that because 2 24mm carbs are equivalent to one 34 mm carb in terms of the area of cross section. I arrived at this result by taking square root of twice the area of cross section of each of the two carbs.

I don't know what the stock carbs are on 1980 Kz 440.
