bike has sat 2 years. can only get neutral and 2nd....is there an oil drain plug to open first before opening the gear cover? what should i be looking for to make the gears all work?:nopity: bill at [email protected]

Sounds like you clutch may be dragging and gummed up. With the lower 1/4 of the disks immersed in oil they swell and the top dries out. Pretty easy to get to, and if you leave the bike on the side stand you'll not have to drain the oil (in case you just changed it). Take the 5 10mm bolts out and remove the discs and plates (be careful to note the order which they came out). You MAY be able to sand them lightly with 300-400 grit paper, wipe off, soak the discs in some oil overnight and re-assemble.

You can also try pulling in the clutch lever and secure it with zip ties and leave it pulled in for a few hours and see if the plates will seperate.
